Baby Basics Salisbury

Baby Basics Salisbury

Baby Basics began its story in a car boot in Sheffield. One midwife had a car boot full of items to try and help new mums she was working with, but the demand overwhelmed her, so she asked her church for help.

The Sheffield Baby Basics grew, and Baby Basics is now national, with branches across the UK.

What We Offer

Baby Basics offer a Moses basket, filled with the essentials for a new baby and mum.

If you know someone who might benefit from a basket, please ask them to speak to their midwife or health visitor.

Receiving a basket helps show the value and worth to those who may otherwise feel unloved or isolated.

Getting Started

Baby Basics began in 2014, putting together a team and receiving our first donations.

We’re thankful to the Cinnamon Network and Salisbury Area Board for providing us with funding to get us started.

How Can You Help?

We are happy to receive your donations for our basket contents, including:

  • Moses baskets in good condition
  • Baby clothes, premature, newborn or age 0-3 months

The items we run short of most often are:

  • Baby towels
  • Chocolate gift for mum
  • Shampoo or shower gel for mum
  • Maternity towels for mum
  • Packs of nappies, size 1 and 2
