Praying for Amesbury

Over two months to go and the Amesbury Site is already gathering interest from people in the area who have heard news of us. Emily Hooper is running a ladies’ group in Larkhill on alternate Thursday mornings; phone calls and emails are coming into the Church Office from people who “just happen” to be moving into the Amesbury area, looking for a church; visitors are turning up on Sundays at Salisbury who live in Amesbury and beyond.

Walking the Prayer – Praying the Walk

We are praying our way around Amesbury, becoming aware of the huge expansion of new homes; seeing the potential for ‘pies and puddings’ evenings, Alpha venues and prayer meetings on Solstice Park; and knowing that the British Army presence on Salisbury Plain is growing monthly as 4,000 military personnel and their families are being relocated from Germany by 2020. There is no lack of harvest!

Find Out More

If you are committed to Amesbury, or just curious about what is going on, join us on Wednesday 9th November at 7:30pm at the Bowman Centre when we will be celebrating the start of this new adventure for Grace Church and answering any questions you may have. And we may have cake!

We need lots of people to fill the teams for Sunday Celebrations [see below]. Initially, we will be meeting monthly. If you are coming to join us, pray that God will show you where He wants you to serve. Maybe in something very new for you.

Pray that we meet lots of people who don’t yet know Jesus.

Pray that we build excellent relationships with existing churches in the area – and with new churches who arrive after us!
