My Westpoint Experience

I’d been coming to Grace Church for about 6 months when I heard about Westpoint, and there seemed to be a real buzz about it.  It takes time to get to know people and make real connections when you join a new church and so I thought this would be a great opportunity to spend some time with my new church family and get to know people better.

Spiritually I was in quite a distant place, and I was hopeful that some quality teaching and worship for a few days would be what I needed to get back on track with God.

I was also keen for my 12 year old son to spend some quality time with his peers from Hothouse to make closer friendships, as well as having the experience of worshipping with hundreds of Christians his own age.

Westpoint was all I hoped for and more………..

Being able to eat together and socialise meant that I was able to do “life” with everyone, and was able to make real friendships, and start to feel like I was “known” and accepted.  My son had an amazing time,  so much so that I barely saw him as he was having such fun and felt totally comfortable to go off and get involved in the huge range of activities and teaching on offer.

Every meeting and seminar I went to was encouraging, challenging and uplifting and I felt the start of a move back to God. The sheer scope of topics offered at Westpoint means that there is something for everyone, and various ways to access teaching and resources, depending on how much or little you want to be involved.

I would encourage everyone to get to Westpoint if they haven’t been before. We loved it so much that we booked in for this year as soon as we got home…..you will have lots of fun, get to know your church family better, eat great food and be massively blessed and encouraged.

Book up now, hope to see you there!!
