Parenting Course at Grace Church

Parenting Course at Grace Church

We run two parenting courses, Parenting Children for parents of children age 0-10 years and Parenting Teens for parents of children age 11 and over.

What is the Parenting Course?

It’s an opportunity to explore parenting issues together in a relaxed and friendly environment, with plenty of opportunity for discussion with your husband or wife.

The five-week course aims to help you to:

  • Build strong foundations
  • Meet your children's needs
  • Set clear boundaries
  • Teach healthy relationships
  • Consider your long term aims

Our aim is to support and empower you in your role as a parent.

Who is it for?

The Parenting Course is for anyone who wants to build strong and healthy family relationships.

It’s based on Christian principles but is suitable for all parents, whether you’re parenting on your own, step-parenting and parenting as a couple. It’s suitable for anyone, whether you have a church background or not, whether you feel you have strong parenting skills or you feel like you’re struggling.

The hosts of the Parenting Course, Pete and Deborah McBeth, have worked with families for more than 10 years. Pete and Deborah have been married for more than 30 years, have four grown up children and two grandchildren.

What can I expect?

The evening starts by sharing coffee and cake together with other parents, followed by a practical talk and a time of discussion.

You can find out when our next course takes place on our Calendar.
