This event is for all men over the age of 18 (either regular church members or friends of)
Max. No: 20. We can actually accommodate 21, but this requires two sharing a double bed which we suspect won't be popular ๐.
The aim of the event is to promote friendships between the men of the church and reach out to others
Accommodation: All except 2 will be staying in 1 of 3 private rooms (6 each). These are booked. 2 camping slots are also booked as overflow options for those that are keen (one already taken by Rich Millidge). Bed linen is provided for all private rooms. For the two camping: tent, sleeping bag are provided.
Outline itinerary (times apx.)
Sun 4th May
1330: Leave after church. Transport by private cars which will be arranged when we know who is coming.
1500: Arrive and park at YHA Burley (New Forest), Burley, Ringwood, Hampshire, BH24 4BB. There is a cafรฉ on site but people may wish to wander into Burley to kill a bit of time.
1700: Check in YHA Burley (this is the earliest we can check in)
1900: Evening meal at the Queens Head Burley (This needs to be arranged. But if not available then another pub close by). The cost of this meal will not be included.
2100: Return to YHA Burley โ Bed
Mon 5th May
0800: Breakfast at YHA Burley. This will be included in the cost. A full English Breakfast will be assumed which will need to be booked when numbers known.
1000: Assemble pack lunches
1100: Leave YHA Burley by foot for a 3-4 hr gentle walk, avoiding bogs, ponies and other forest hazards as required.
1300: Pack lunch en route
1500: Return to YHA Burley and dept for Salisbury
What To bring:
Water bottle
Wash bag and towel
Good walking footwear and suitable clothing
A valid form of photographic ID with you when you check in. You will not be able to check in without it.
